Fifth Informational Leafleting
What an incredible day of Action Saturday August 15 turned out
to be where three different locations, folks were educated on
the Employee Free Choice Act. Union activists and members of
the Young Democrats from Savannah State University and members
of SCLC (Southern Christian Leadership Conference) leafleted the
intersection off Pooler Parkway just west of I-95 from 9am – 12
noon where Home Depot, WalMart and Sams Club reside numbering 15
adults and 1 child. Another union member took leaflets to the
Savannah Civic Center where a coalition partner, the
Interdenominational Ministerial Alliance (IMA) was having their
“Back to School” event. Yet another Working America member
leafleted at Forsyth Park where MoveOn.org was having a health
care rally. All these at the same time resulted in more than
1,000 leaflets to the general public within 3 hours. Truly, a
testimony to the CLC motto “Together We Can”!
