TSO Campaign

Friday March 19^th,Savannah Regional Central Labor Council delegates from OPEIU local 277, IBEW local 508, Teamsters local 728 and Savannah Federation of Teachers/PSRP local 2069 joined American Federation of Government Employees (AFGE) local 555 and AFGE international organizers in their campaign to organize the Transportation Safety Officers (TSO) at the Savannah/Hilton Head airport. This is a national campaign for AFGE with about 40,000 TSO’s of which over 15,000 have already joined the union. CLC President Hulme said “ if these TSO’s do not have to worry about losing their job from power hungry management, then the flying public is safer”.
